Finally I have some time to continue blogging after exam, so let's continue on my Chiangmai trip. Day 3 started earlier as we have quite a number of places to go. So we left hotel around 7am in the morning.
First destination: Doi Inthanon National Park
Yes! Basically the temperature that morning was only 12 Degrees Celcius. Shiok or what!! |
So cold till no choice, but to drink hot coffee/chocolate. |
The hot chocolate is nice!! Not so sweet but enough taste there. |
Actually basically there got nothing much, more for climbers to hike etc. So we headed to another place near the summit area, another 10 mins drive only.
No filter. It's awesome right! ^^ |
Then we headed to another place near also, 5 mins drive only. With spectacular waterfall and scenery. |
Next, we are heading to Maesa Elephant Camp, which took us about another 2 hours ride.
You may get to see elephants with tourists on them passby. |
Now get ready for elephant show!!! Don't ever miss this, it is a great experience to seeing elephants doing things that you might not ever imagine them doing so. |
And each elephant will greet everybody, with cute gestures. |
Helping their trainer with putting on the hat. |
Elephant getting ready for free kick!! and GOALLLLL! ~ |
And yes, they knew how to draw!! WOW! |
Final artpiece~~~ |
And they definitely know how to play basketball too. HAHA |
Once show has ended, the elephants will goes around to take photos with the tourists, or rather we pay to take photo with them. It serves as tip service to the trainers instead. |
Yes, just like that! |
And queued for the elephant ride. Of course, need to pay. |
Up slope is scary ~ |
They will pause at certain spot to help you take photos. |
Conclusion: My thought at that time was that it seems to be rather cruel to be riding on them, as there are times when you might see trainers using 'canes' on them. It seems to be so hurtful to them. But I would like to try once and only to know how it feels exactly to be riding on it. Sorry though, if this is making anyone feeling uncomfortable etc. But in any case, if you are interested in the elephant rides, you might need to purchase tickets in advance. Once is enough to gain an experience, not more than that.
Next, I will be updating on the lunch and dinner we had on the 3rd day of trip. Please look forward to my updates. Meanwhile, thanks for reading my blog. Cheers!

Hi everybody! Sorry for the long-lost updated post. Lets continue on Chiangmai then - still on Day 2, Part 3. After all the temples, we headed over to the Sunday night marker. Actually there isnt much difference between Saturday and Sunday night market. The crowds are still acceptable when we were there around 5 plus SG time. After that, super crowded. Surprisingly, there are many angmohs too. I suppose cos there are many drinking pubs around too.
Bacon with golden mushroom. Nice la ~~ MUST TRY! |
Yes. He is really a police over there, but he would be here to sing as a part time. And yes, he has a pretty pleasant voice. |
It's dinner time - and we settled it in a restaurant named Hauw Tom
Seafood tom yum soup - awesome! Spicy, sour and fresh! |
Fish tom yum soup - awesome too. However, I will prefer the seafood one. |
Yes, this is the crowd at a later night. |
This is the map of the Sunday Market. Big right ~~ |
Now, it's a lazy afternoon so shall just let pictures talk. Thank you! ^^
