Ah Loy Thai at Shaw Tower, Beach Rd

Hello guys, just taking short break from studying. It's been a rather struggling period, however good foods totally can cheer you up! So recently I been to this new restaurant - Ah Loy Thai recommended by my friend. Shall credit to her right, so thank you Pauline! :)

So this restaurant is at a rather hidden place, the Shaw Tower. Yes, bugis area. Walking distance from Bugis Mrt, which roughly takes about 5-10 mins walk only. Please be there earlier like at least 5pm if not its gonna be packed. I ain't sure if we are able to make any reservations not, but you might want to give it a try. You may actually contact them at this number, 91651543 . LOL!

Roughly the seating capacity of the restaurant. They took up two units, so roughly can take up to 60pax?

Let's start with appetizer, Mango Salad. I think its too sour, but however, some of you might prefer it to be more sour.

Tofu (Beancurd) with the Thai sauce. This is awesome, please must try!!!

Eat thai food - How can miss out this, Basil Chicken! Pretty spicy. The chicken bits are so chewy!

Yes - I believed this is 1 of their signature dish - Butter Calamari. Totally awesome! You cannot give it a miss at all, please must order!!!! MUST!

Another authentic thai food - Pad Thai. This is super nice also. However, this is more rather of a really 1 pax per serving.

Err yes. this is the pineapple rice. At first when we order, I really thought it's gonna come in a pineapple. You know authentic pineapple rice come in that 'shape'? No? However, it's super fragrance and make you feel like going for another serving! Wheeee ~~

Kangkong - Juicy and fresh. Just that it's not that spicy enough, if not totally more enjoyable!

Last but not least - Thai Seafood Tom Yum Soup. Fresh seafoods such as prawns, sotong. Mushrooms too. The spiciness is just nice for me, and this pot can rather serve up to 5 bowl, of course 1 serving per pax only. Good to go! Definitely a good restaurant to try for! And also it is suitable for big group of you - maybe up to 10 pax. Shall update more foods soon! See ya! ^^ Good day!!
