Poulet at Jurong Point 2

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

This time round at the newly opened not long ago restaurant -  Poulet at Jurong Point, the place where New York New York was previously at if you guys are familiar with JP.

This is how the restaurant looks like, it just looks so warmly and more of a place for gatherings too. Looking at how they display their menu, and really make you feel like going Paris. Don't you think so? Haha, maybe I think too much eh!

Poulet was also famous for its amazing french roast chicken, and we were told that the chicken was actually marinated for 2 days before it was being served to customer. The picture below - you can see how the chicken was hung to roast.

So you will know how well marinated it is - DAH-DAH! See, looks super appealing right even without tasting it right now ~

Signature Dish - Poulet Roti

Don't see it like a small portion k, it can really be filling. The sauce makes it so nice to go with the chicken and just enough for the whole dish. Bcos for some of us, too much of that sauce might make us feel sick of it. The chicken was AWESOME. Soft and tender and it is really so tasty that you think of ordering another one. Totally like the favourite quote from  KFC - "Finger-licking-good"

Next: Pork Belly ($15.80)

Pork Belly - It is nice and fat enough but not greasy. Chinese saying - 肥而不腻. It is good and advisable maybe 2 person can share one set of it. So to allow more space in stomach for other good foods.

Next: Escargot de Bourgogne ($8.80)

I have never tried escargot in my life, so this is the very first time i tried. First question come to mind - How does it taste like? Stale? & I actually don't eat cockles etc. Such a waste right? Some people gonna say that. Haha, so I tried this and the feeling so like so amazing. It is chewy and it is actually covered with butter garlic and minced green veg? Not a bad experience though.

Next: Saute Wild Mushrooms with poached egg ($7.80)

Its savoury la i tell you! Super tasty la, must try ok! The mushrooms are so chewy and fresh. It is a total good mix of the shrooms and the ingredients. Remember, MUST TRY!

Next: Banana Bread Pudding topped with Vanilla Ice-Cream ($6.80)

Sorry to have taken the photo after several minutes because the vanilla ice-cream melted. It should looks like this instead. (1st Row second picture) The banana bread is scorching hot as it like freshly out from the oven. Every bites you can taste the banana bits, so does eating it with the ice cream. The combi of hot-and-cold, SHIOK only!!! This is super addictive, and portion just nice for 1 pax to finish it!

Lastly, Tiramisu ($.7.80)
This portion definitely cannot finish by 1 person unless you did not order main course, so this can actually be shared between 2-4 pax. For your consideration only. & definitely super worth the price also. The top part was actually covered with cocoa powder and inside taste so spongy. Just nice, everything of a bit - Sweet and bitter.

Of cause, excluding GST and service charges. In conclusion, this newly opened Poulet is worth going and also suitable for gatherings etc. They also allow reservation if with minimum of 10 pax to maximum 30 pax during weekdays exlcuding public holiday.
